The Who's rock opera about a deaf, dumb & blind boy who eventually assumes the role of a messianic leader, Tommy, debuted on Broadway in 1993. It won five Tony Awards. The soundtrack was produced by Sir George Martin & stars Michael Cerveris (Evita, Sweeney Todd, Assassins) & Alice Ripley (Next to Normal) along with Norm Lewis (Porgy & Bess) & Sherie Renee Scott (Everyday Rapture, Women on the Verge).
