Gold vinyl LP. Too creative to be contained in one genre or band, Phish founder Trey Anastasia went solo once again with 2012's "Traveler." It is an album full of new songs and ideas spanning pop, rock, prog rock and reggae. Yet, true to the jam band spirit, it is still a collaborative effort. Peter Katis co-produces the album. The "Trey Anastasia Band" gets backing help from Bon Iver's Rob Moose, Kori Gardner of Mates of State, plus Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger of The National. Some help comes all the way from Iceland with percussionist Samuli Kosminen. Tracks of note include "Scabbard," "Pigtail" and "Land of Nod." The second disc is dedicated to the more jam band sound with extended recordings of the title track and "Greyhound Rising." This 2-LP set was recorded at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It is pressed into golden vinyl.
