More Info:
Out of print in the U.S. In 1982, when she was twelve years old, she played as a member of Rosa King's Ladies horn section at the North Sea Jazz Festival. According to Dulfer, it was Rosa King who encouraged her to become a band leader. In 1984, at age fourteen, she started the band Funky Stuff. In 1988 Prince invited Dulfer on stage to play an improvised solo during one of his European shows. On Candy's sophomore album Sax-A-Go-Go Dulfer takes her music to it's highest heights in this classic album, stretching from smooth light jazz to funky street complimented by the scatting of her backing group. The album contained one over eight minutes instrumental track written by Prince, titled 'Sunday Afternoon'.
