More Info:
CD reissue. Monster On A Leash was recorded in 1991 with new lead vocalist Tom Bowes a fitting addition to the band. Even though this album might not be what T.O.P. fans expected at the time, it is considered an album that confirmed the consistent quality for which T.O.P. is famous for. After some troubled times due to their determination to continue their style and not replacing their horn section with keyboard synthesizers, Tower of Power were back in form on this album. Monster On A Leash is full of catchy and funky melodies; 'Funk the Dumb Stuff' and 'You Can't Fall Up' have that unmistakable '70s T.O.P. sound combined with their '80s style on 'Attitude Dance' and 'How Could This Happen'. This album is an absolute Monster on a Leash!
