D'Angelo's smash debut album now gets the deluxe treatment in a 2-CD set that includes the original album and 21 bonus tracks, all remastered by D's engineer Russell Elevado. Housed in a lavish digipak, it also features a 20-page booklet with rare photographs from the EMI Archives, lyrics for all original LP tracks, and an essay by noted author and filmmaker Nelson George. The 21 bonus tracks include original rare remixes, from CJ Mackintosh, Dallas Austin, King Tech, Erick Sermon and Incognito, whose extra-rare remix was previously available only on a U.K. 12-inch B-side, as well as instrumentals and acappella versions.
