Originally recorded way back in 1986 with original drummer MikeBrowning, this shelved debut album is a fascinating chance to hearAmerican death metal icons Morbid Angel in an embryonic stage, featuringfuture classics like 'Chapel Of Ghouls' and 'Lord Of All Fevers AndPlague' (titled simply 'Lord Of All Fevers' here). Browning would leavethe band shortly after recording, going on to form legendary sci-fideath metal outfit Nocturnus, whilst Morbid Angel would recruitlightning-fast percussionist Pete Sandoval for their debut album proper'Altars Of Madness', and the rest is history - but there's an undeniablyotherworldly energy captured on this rare recording that makes it amust-have for death metal die-hards.
